I sometimes think Lucy's an even more complicated character than Becky.
She seems like she has issues with her body, her eating, her mother's death.
It's implied that she is a virgin too.
What do you guys think? I'd love to hear any comments.
I don't think Becky is that complicated at all, to be honest!
What happens to her complicates matters but I think that, as a personality, she isn't all that "complex"- I think she is quite sensible, grounded and reasonable, even in the midst of the dreadful thing that happened to her.
Lucy is easily more complicated than Rebecca- and so is Alberta, in my opinion.
By the way, it's not implied that Lucy is a virgin, it is blatantly pointed out.
She certainly issues with food and with her body, and I often wish they were more deeply explored.
I think it was great of Stephen to be patient with Lucy. He could have written her off due to her body issues, but he seemed willing to wait it out until she was comfortable with herself and him. He was quite sweet with her and I enjoyed watching their scenes together.
