i think that this movie is quite possibly the worst movie that i have ever seen except perhaps for mommy 2. the murders in this movie are really quite pathetic i mean it is so utterly pathetic the way the first two people are killed. that old bat is pathetic. goodnite new york.

I don't think this could have possible been worse. So cheap, so ludicrouse, there was not one positive to the whole film.

I cannot even begin to describe how woeful this one is, well okay l'm reviewing it for an external site so guess l will be doing just that.

The darkness you saw was from the cloud of dispare that hovers over Muscatine. Or GPC was blowing up wind during the shoot.
shareTo respond to Tura, the difference between this, "Black Devil Doll From Hell" and the works of Andy Milligan or Doris Wishman isn't that those are truly bad while this is merely mediocre. The difference is that they are inspirationally, uniquely, mostly entertainingly bad (I say "mostly" because Wishman can really wear you out sometimes). "Mommy" is uninspirationally bad--terrible even, but about as interesting as watching somebody else's home movies. Or one of those "LipDub" videos imitating the very few decent ones, the ones that are really only bearable if you're actually in them and thus can entertain yourself saying "Oh look it's Tanya! There goes Shawn! Ooh here comes Molly behind that shrub!" Although I'd be surprised if even the actors in "Mommy" get any pleasure from watching it--I'd imagine it seemed a lark at the time but now it probably just makes them cringe, as at least some of them had serious professional careers back in the day, and this enterprise is so amateurish and lame.

I'm not saying its a great movie but there are thousands of films that are worse than this. Try sitting through any of Andy Milligan's films, or checking out the ouvre of Doris Wishman.
It really bugs me when people who don't know anything about bad movies spout off about how something mediocre is "the worst thing ever". Sit through a screening of Black Devil Doll from Hell and I can assure you that Mommy will no longer seem as awful to you.
