The haters of this movie are beyond pathetic!

It. Is. A. Kids. Movie! A. Movie. Made. For. Kids! What part of that do you not get? Sure, for some adults/teenagers it has nostalgic quality but for the most part it is a movie made for kids.

Hating on this movie because your crabby old arse can't enjoy it because you're 'grown up' is just stupid!

It's a kids movie yes, but if you compare it to the show, it is pretty dark for a kids movie especially a Power Rangers one.

Exactly, I was a big fan of this movie as the target audience at 5 years old and I think I'd still like it for nostalgia reasons. I discovered Red Hot Chili Peppers and They Might Be Giants through this!

The score alone should boost this movie to the mid 5's or nothing more than a 6. I found Van Halen because of this movie! That's what dreams are made of! ;)

loved the show as a kid, the movie was just a long episode.
An adult hating a films aimed at kids is stupid, obviously adults wont likely enjoy kids movies i certainly don't.

I did watch this today, been 17 years since i last saw it and had i not liked it as a kid i wouldn't have enjoyed it now. Good fun.

Just because its a kids show does not mean it should be judged as such. Their are amazing kids shows out there that are better than some "adult" movies...example? most anything by Pixar

They get judged like any adult movie does...so why should terrible kids movies get a pass...because you don't want to admit it was bad?
movies should be judged on the same format. All movies should. Target audience means nothing.
acting?
story?
editing?
direction?
writing?
all these things are used to make a movie: kids, adult, action, porn (well not the amateur stuff, buuuttt) all of it.

If the same steps and things are used to make it, then all of the same criteria are and should be used to judge it. It doesn't get a pass.

Now the only real thing that I don't complain when people judge are effects. To me the effects do not make the movie, the movie makes the movie, the effects further illustrate that, but bad effects are laughable...like the cgi in tis movie. Though they did serve their purpose...illustrate the story.

That's what I was thinking. How do movies made for children get bad reviews and ratings from adults? I mean it's not aimed towards you. Yes, you can have your opinion, but your opinion doesn't mean anything if you're not the film's target demographic.
