A 5.0?

Yes, I know that this film was not well received by critics, and the effects and dialogue are cheesy and silly, but the story isn't too bad, the action is cool, and it has a nice charm to it, and I still love this movie even today.

Heard this had a 3.2 on IMDB once, seems to have risen.

It's got a 5.1 now :)

And I agree, the nostalgia factor really makes this movie enjoyable today for people like me who grew up in the 90's. I hope this gets a blu-ray release once the new movie nears its release!

Nice. Hope it goes up. 

Yup, I agree. I only saw this as a kid in the 2000s, but still loved it. I still like it even today, sure it's cheesy and the CGI is (obviously) dated, but it's still cool. I even got a comic book of it today, and it's an excellent adaptation.

Sorry for not helping it go up. I had to give it a 4.
Im watching the Power Rangers series with my son so all of this is new to me.
Im 40 so I was graduating high school when season 1 started.

So with no nostalgia involved I had to give it a 4 because of the CG zords.
Yes I know CG looks terrible in 1995, so use suits!
The best thing about giant monster stuff like Godzilla and Ultraman are the guys in the suits.
To replace the giant monster fighting with bad CG was unforgivable.
Plus I don't think CG in 1995 was that bad. It was bad even for the standards of the year it was made.

Also after seeing the movie my son and I moved on to season 3, only to discover a different version of how the Power Rangers got the ninja zords, so the movie doesn't even exist in the same continuity as the show!

And a minor quibble, but replacing Squat and Baboo with a pig man made no sense.

Have you ever noticed that the people who say "DC is for adults and Marvel is for kids", are kids?

I'd say a five is good enough. It's not a great movie. It is fun and I enjoy it when I watch it every now and then. But like you said, it's cheesy with out dated effects.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.
