Why was it called Memories again?

I thought the first one was good. The title made sense to the story about the oprah singer living in the past. I disliked that the guys kept falling for the illusions over and over again.
The second one was pretty funny, but man, the main character is an idiot. He should try to think like once. He worked in a lab so one would think that he is not a complete retard.
The third one was really slow, it was the shortest but felt like the longest. Sure this one has the most interesting visuals and idea of a society built on shooting cannons on a non existing enemy. The three together is a very weird collection. No one fits with the other at all. I enjoyed them all, the music was great, animation was pretty good but I wanted something more. I'd rate it 7.

They weren't meant to fit with each other. It's just a collection of short stories.

Can't stop the signal.

Because it's an homage to Kurosawas Dreams and they couldn't call it that.

Because the Japanese title for the first movie is Kanojo no Omoide (彼女の想いで) which in English is translated 'Her Memories'.

I think the OP means in general.
