No DVD, 'splain it to me, please

This film is a good example of something I've noticed regarding certain works of other artists. They made a film with a nude scene, it came out years ago on VHS and then disappears. If you do a title search on Amazon or DVD Empire they don't even acknowledge that the film ever existed. Sherilyn Fenn made a film called "Meridian" and it received the same treatment as did Diane Lane's "Lady Beware" (although "Big Town" is still around for some reason). I would think that the film's owner would be the only one to control distribution and that if there was a buck in reformatting it, they would.

HOW CAN THIS TRAVESTY BE ALLOWED TO OCCUR?

Yeah, and there's no market for junk on DVD's. Duh.

In the real world, it's probably caught up in some stupid copyright nonsense. Who knows...maybe Molly owns the rights. ;O)

It was officially released in Russia. I got mine from http://www.dvdigitall.com/dvd/w8647
DVD has original English Dolby Digital 5.1 English audio and instruction how to set up English soundtrack from Russian root menu was enclosed.

Beware: The Russian one claims to be Unrated etc... but it is about 5 minutes shorter (88 min) then the American release (92 min) (either that or it has PAL-lag). Maybe it is just not rated by Russians.

Because some of us have the hardware for and know how to do VHS => DVD transfers :)

At least they finally had the good sense to release this on DVD! Now if they would just release Blindfold: Acts of Obsession with Shannen Doherty and The Wrong Man with Rosanna Arquette I would be a happy man!

I never knew that Blindfold was available on a Japanese DVD! Is it region free and is it available from any American companies?

The only reason to see this movie is for Molly Ringwald topless. Do you really want that scene in widescreen, where it would be lower resolution and lower quality than the fullscreen version?
