as of this year,this film is about 10 years old
and i think there should be a sequel to this film
that continues where the sequel would continue from the original
but ash and josh black would be aged a few years
joshua would be starting high school
ash would be starting middle school
and they return to that wonderful place called glenorky that they visited in the first film, in which they see that lovable orky sea creature in which ash can see , but this time, the orky helps them as a band of polluters try to threaten a herd of sea lions
and it's the orky to the rescue

do you like my idea for a sequel to magic in the water
think about it?

there might be a son of orky if there was a sequel
or a cousin
or if not, ash and her family
could always find out the legend of the loch ness monster , and ash could give cookies to loch ness , in a sequel

yeah, it wasn't my most perfect work but it had some good moments for kids. Actually, TRI STAR ended up releasing it in 1000 theatres. I've just made an new film though called EXPIRATION DATE. Try to check it out. rick stevenson

I'm looking for a movie.It's about a monster that changes ppl's lives, and it enjoys eating oreo's.

Hahaha, that sounds cool actually. I haven't seen this movie for about 5 years, and I'm 17 soon. So I'd love to see it again!

Oh god,the aftermath: Thanks for remembering MAGIC IN THE WATER fondly. It was fun to make even though it was my first movie as a director. I just made another one called EXPIRATION DATE which should be showing at film festivals then be out in theatres in the fall. rick stevenson

Hey Aaron: Sorry it took me four years to get back to you. I just saw your post.

I'm not sure that I'm the guy to do the sequel but I'm sure there is one there. Only problems with Sea Lions is that they don't exist in lakes!
