My Worst Memory of This Movie

Hi. First post here. I really love this movie. You know, the exact same thing happened to me as a kid. I saw it one night on the Disney Channel, & immediately afterwards wanted to own the movie. When I saw it was going to play on Nickelodeon, I asked my mom to record it for me. I remember that while it was recording me, my mom, dad & sister went off somewhere, & when we get back I turn on the TV & see Jack reading in the book about how Blackbeard was done in by his own greed, then they took Lily back to the ocean, then when Jack asked to have a word in private with Lily, the others left, & it just ended! I told my parents about how they cut the ending, & said I didn’t want this recording of it. I forgot about the movie for a few years, but in the summer of 2004 I was searching some recordings we had to see if we recorded anything on a tape & forgot to label it. And, lo & behold, the first thing on a tape labeled Israel was this movie! Now that I think about it, I think my Mom did record it when they repeated it very late one night on Disney, but didn’t label the tape. Regardless of how it got there I was very happy. I have watched it every few months since then. Also on the tape was the Hypernauts TV movie of the first four episodes( I remembered watching it & asking to record it as a kid), & the Dark Crystal( which I for some reason wanted to see as a kid but never did), both recorded off the Disney Channel( both at a different time than this movie).
