Two actors are deceased...

How weird is this? Have they been working on this one for a while or did someone get hit with a "stupid stick"?

reply

Well I do know that John Candy is dead, but I don't know if this can work. I know this has nothing to do with anything but since Lisa Left Eye passed away, TLC still used her voice in their songs, so maybe they can take out what John Candy has said in his past films and add it onto the film!? I definitely probably have this whole thing wrong who knows though.

Both Madeline Kahn and John Candy died in the '90s, so I don't know how they're going to do this. Maybe they could use prerecorded voices, but I don't think either of them did any movies or anything like this that they could use voices from...

Hi, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113735/trivia
this says the following:

John Candy and Madeline Kahn recorded their voice tracks for this project in the early 1990s.

OK, I guess that makes sense, but it's creepy as hell.

reply

i agree that this is very creepy but i love madeline kahn, so i can't complain.

I can't believe they're actually doing something this creepy. Releasing something a year or two after the artist dies is one thing, but John Candy has been dead for a decade. This is seriously disturbing.

reply

hey, i'm just glad to have more john candy stuff.
hope it's funny.

I also agree John Candy was a really funny guy.

i agree, i get a creepy feeling. i loved candy though.

Are you guys all retarded? They release books years after the authors died all of the time, so what difference does it make that they release a film which uses the voices of actors which were recorded for that very purpose?

Brr. This SOOOO creepy. I'm going to lose sleep over this, for sure.

i hope you noticed that the villain in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is dead and had been for fifteen YEARS before the release of that movie

reply

the animation on a movie takes years and years.......they almost always record the voices before they finish animating.........so after John died they just didn't air it out of respect......got this from other message board....got to give credit.......

Damn. The animation must be really great, if it takes that long to make it.

After what happened with the first Crow movie, this should be nothing. For years, rumors were thrown around that they actually left the scene of Brandon Lee getting shot in the movie (this is untrue, btw) so hearing John Candy and Madeline Kahn's voices in this will be no more creepy than watching an old movie they made before they died.
