I actually liked this. to me its better than or equal to
Macross Plus.
macross II seemed more epic,bigger battles, more characters, etc.
the music was pretty good too. I havent watched it in a good 12 years or more.
but I still remember the songs. so I just ordered the dvd.

I originally bought the episodes one by one on vhs when it first
came out in 1992.
before vol 3 came out it was released in theaters here in LA.
so me and my brother went out to see it, mainly to see
the final chapter..

alot of people really dont like Macross II. I dont see why

This was pretty good. I never saw much of MACROSS stuff though, I'm more into the ROBOTECH version.

Having seen the Robotech series as a teen, I would say that this movie is a great stand alone film. The artwork is great, plus the adittion of the Jetfire transformers (I know they are not transformers as the Jetfire model was originally Robotech and not a Transformer), and I enjoyed the space battles What I found odd was the story of using music as a weapon was different from what I'd expected (I thought they would be just emulating the music, not driving the fighters into a blood frenzy).
