I was telling myself that if this came out on blu-ray I would have to upgrade and buy a player and TV to get 1080p capability so as to watch the great cinematography in the best way possible except on the big screen in the cinema. Well, I broke down and bought a player a couple of weeks ago. But this is still the film I most want in that format. Has anybody heard of a plan to issue this in blu-ray in Japan ?

I just heard about that source today on wwww.blu-ray.com but they are now out of stock. There also appears to be a Japanese version that is available from other sites, but at a higher price.
