Things we have learned from Losing Isiah

1. Hospitals just release cocaine addicted newborn babies to their crackhead mothers. They don't call CPS or anything.
2. Abandoning a baby is not a crime.

Yeah I really didn't understand #2. If someone confessed to you that they "killed" their baby out of neglect/abandonment...I mean wtf that's some kind of murder or manslaughter charge! And child abuse! Yet she just walked away like it ain't no thang.

Of course, no, the baby wasn't dead. But....they didn't know that at the time. And like you said, wouldn't abandoning a baby be a crime too. That she should be charged with!

I can understand the snafu where if the mother didn't sign the waiver, she would still have possible rights to the baby.

But um. Yeeah. the whole abandoning/child abuse thing. That's at least something she should get charged with.

I would think they couldn't charge her with murder without proof, like finding the body. But I do agree she would be charged with SOMETHING in the real world, definitely child endangerment and abandonment for starters!

1) A woman isn't a prostitute if she has sex for drugs. She is only a prostitute if she has sex for money.

2) A former crack head whore will have nice hair, skin and teeth even though she has been living on the street for years.

3) A crack head whore will find a decent man who is will to divorce his wife for her.
