Why wasn't this more like the novel?
I recently watched the Lord of Illusions movie & it disappointed me. I wanted it to be more like the story The Last Illusion. I really missed the relationship between Valentin & Harry & Valentin & Swann.

shareI havent seen this movie in quite some time, but I remember in the begining of it, they make refference to a supernatural case D'mour had just handled (with a quick flash of it)
I am not familiar with Clive Barkers books, but my question is: Is there another book or even a series revolving around D'mour?
Yep. He's also the main character in the book Everville. Also he'll be the hero and co-main character of Clive's new book, in the anthology Scarlet Gospels, about Harry meeting a certain Theologian of the Order of the Gash, the Dark Pope of Hell, Pinhead...

The Scarlet Gospels is really no longer an anthology, but a full-fledged novel. Barker decided that he could not tell the backstory of Hell, as well as the demise of Pinhead, and D'Amour involvement in just a novella. The other stories that would have been in the anthology will likely be published in the forthcoming anthology, Clive Barker: Collected Short Stories.
Harry D'Amour appears in the following works of Barker:
- "The Last Illusion" (a short story in the novel/anthology, Cabal)
- The Great & Secret Show (the first Book of Art)
- Everville (the Second Book of Art)
- The Scarlet Gospels (Release: TBA 2007)
- "Lost Souls" (short story in the anthology, Collected Short Stories) (Release: TBA 2007)
- Untitled Third Book of Art (Release: TBA)
