Disappointed. But in a good way..

I don't share the consensus that this represents a return to form for Barker. It merely serves as a vehicle for some homoerotic fantasy violence and quasi philosophical nonsense.
Excellent casting and very high camp Grand Guignol but little substance and certainly none of the cachet of the first 2 box films..

The film has something about it that draws me to it. I didn't like it when it came out in theaters, yet I have never forgotten the film and always find myself thinking about it at times and wanting to see it again. It resonates.

I don't know what "return to form" people speak of, as in my opinion Clive Barker has never truly stumbled in order to need to return to form.

Whose idea was it for the word LISP to have an S in it? [giveup]

If it was in "a good way" then it was not disappointment. There are many other words that would describe something that is not as expected.

Of course, writers of most movies do things for the purpose of making things more dramatic.
