My Favorite Scene Spoilers

When they're recording room tone, and Nick dreams about his acceptence speech. Just the build up of it to when he almost utters "Go F--- Yourselves", and almost messes up the room tone.

I absolutely adore the scene. I found myself near tears during it, because everything he says is so perfect; the anger at all who doubted his ability, the fantasy of succeeding, and the risk of more self-sabotage....it was all absolutely perfect and so personal.

Being a film student and a lover of film, I've seen so many film masterpieces in my lifetime, but this little masterpiece stands as my top five favorites. As a film about making a film, I enjoy it more than 8 1/2 and Stardust Memories. It's brilliant.

the "Best movie ever made by a human being" award was hilarious. There are so many amazingly hilarious scenes, that it's hard to pick one.

Though as a film student myself, I couldn't quite relate to that room tone scene. Atleast in all the films I've taken part in, during room tone everyone is staring at each other, making goofy faces, trying to make each other laugh.

When you look around, you see a lot of people trying really hard not to laugh.

I'd say mine was the "Where the f--- is Wolf!?!?!?!" scene. It's the way he's watching them and then gets told that Wolf isn't there.

2nd dream sequence: When Nicole is on Chad's back,

and Chad shoves Wanda. Wolf rushes him, saying, 'I'm

gonna kick your ass, Chad! and Chad lays Wolf out

with one punch...hilarious!

For me it's got to be the run-through that evolves into the exquisite, never to be duplicated perfect take... with the camera not rolling.

Yes the losing his shit scene after everything keeps going wrong. There is a much bigger expanded version of this scene and a guy losing his shit in the movie "Babylon" from last year. Best scene/sequence in that film! I wonder if director Damian Chazelle has seen this film and scene? 🤔
