needs young blood

A long time ago the enticing title caught my attention. That, and the artwork of the poster and DVD box cover. Okay, so research brought to light this is actually a much-loved chick flick in high standing, and I'm like: classy! A feather in the cap for my collection. But no trailer found, I kept being uncertain. Finally gave in to further word-of-mouth, and was about to launch this. Then caught on to one less liked review that warned against 'the old drunken hags'...

Precursor to SEX AND THE CITY? I took a look at the trailer on Tubidy* and they look like a bunch of "desperate housewives" to me, bummer!

*searching for LIVE NUDE GIRLS's trailer on ol' prude Tubidy: No Results Found. I knew I was being treated like I was searching for porn at a church fair. So I entered “Olivia d'Abo, Kim Cattrall, 1995 trailer” and voila!

My bubble got burst though, I expected something better, but at least I didn't have to shell out big bucks for what is apparently a loser. Apparently? First impressions count, and if it waddles around like a sick duck, it most likely is a sick duck.

I have been pondering this title for a long time, sifting through the reviews, and I actually thought this could be a gem. Hell, perhaps it is, but from my viewpoint, somebody young and cute, please? Okay, I'm not knocking Kim Cattrall in here, but those others... Based on the trailer, I file a motion of No Confidence, as my intended purchase (was) quite expensive.

Oh, if it had been on TV I'd watch it, or somebody else's disc, I'd have checked it out. But it is nothing to get excited about.
