An amazing and important film

I'm an anarchist, and so therefore it was neccesary for me to get a movie about the anarchist's struggle during the Spanish Civil War. I must say I am in love with this movie! My favorite part of the movie is when they all sing a las barricadas before they go to the front. Amazing! I'm just very depressed though because it ends on such a sad note. iViva la Anarquistas!

Yes, anarchism was really important in Spain during the 30's. There were more than 1.5 million people affiliated to the CNT, more than 7% of the total population of Spain at the time.

PS - By the way, ¡Vivan los Anarquistas! or ¡Viva el Anarquismo! are the correct forms of what you were trying to say :)

Watching this wonderful movie reminded me of my grandparents in Spain back in the 1930s, all of which were for the Spanish Republican cause and, even though personally I am not an anarchist, I do indeed subscribe to many of their ideals, including equality for all. Being a son of Spaniards, I strongly belief that the Spanish people came very close to proving that Anarchism would be indeed a successful system, devoid of greed, hatred and war; humanitarianism and communitarianism would have prevailed. From a fellow radical idealist to the first two fellow "message-boardists", I too proudly say - !!Viva el Anarquismo y Viva la Humanidad Tambien!! Saludos, compatriots!!!
