Does anybody have an English-subtitled version of this movie on vhs or DVD?
I can only see the Spanish-language version available on DVD currently.All the movie prints in English-speaking countries were obviously subtitled for commercial screenings...I don't understand why the movie has not been made available accordingly.

The version on DVD I got at the Public Library in Hayward, CA has English subtitles. The only bad thing was that it was a full-screen version. All the region 1 DVD copies I've seen on ebay are the same (full-screen) version, otherwise I'd already own a copy...

Wonder where your Hayward library got their copy?
Even though the DVD says it's Spanish, the subtitles are in English. As far as I know, only the VHS version comes in a wide screen format.
shareIf you search online for a Libertarias subtitles file, you will probably be able to find one. If you are watching the movie on your computer, you can add the subtitles file to the video player you are using, so that you can view the movie with the subtitles on the bottom.
