Patrick Stewart (spoilers)

...Okay, looks like nobody has posted here in a long time, but I'm posting this anyway, in the hope that someone will see it and maybe know the answer. I saw this film (under the title Let It Be Me) on YouTube, but I'm wondering if there were a few scenes cut from the version I saw.

Patrick Stewart's character seems to have some kind of a secret - he doesn't want to handle Marguerite's money when she asks, he knows all about the 'Loser's Limo' and when he buys Marguerite perfume, he asks the salesgirl if he can have the smallest bottle. Plus, when the alarm goes off at the club, the police ask for everyone's address, but his character John leaves before providing an address (you actually hear one of the police officers ask if anyone has his address). I wondered if he was going to turn out to be homeless, and if when she saw him at the van dishing out food, he was actually there to get food, rather than to give it out.

But then all of a sudden it's the end of the film and he's getting married. No drama, no great revelation, nothing. It almost seems as if some of his storyline has been cut out. Does anybody know anything about this?
