loretta

does anyone here find that the death of loretta was stupid honestly i hate in horror films when the killer makes a person look fat like in a nightmare on elm street 5 with greta.

reply

I actually thought the whole scene was pretty funny. I think the reason why funny horrors do that is to get people to watch the movie because its not scary. They have to come up with new ideas to get people to watch them, even stupid ones like making a person fat or blowing up a girls boobs and butt. So I take it you didnt like the scene at all? lol.

reply

well I thought loretta's death was imaginative. it was more gory than greta's death. she (greta) just choked to death.

The overall point of both death scenes was the characters "just desserts" so to speak. Loretta wanted to get a boob job all movie so the Lep gave her one, be careful what you wish for. Greta was supposed to be bulemic/anorexic so Freddy used that insecurity against her.

It may look stupid but its pretty much the heels of the movie playing off on insecurities

What was really stupid about that scene were the special effects!

I remember watching this and feeling bad afterwards. I mean, the woman just wanted bigger breasts and the stupid midget just blows her up? I found it to be unnecessarily cruel without being funny. Trust me, nothing offends me, but wow, what was the point of this? That scene still haunts and somewhat saddens me to this day.

Ummm...the leprechaun likes to kill people who have or had his gold. That's why he kills her. If you don't take that realization from this movie, or any other in the series, I don't know what to tell you.

That didnt bother me, I just wish that there was blood and guts splash out when she exploded.

Look now, young girls and women nowadays are spending thousands to get bigger boobs, asses and lips, and some of their results go wrong..

I thought it was funny. Caroline Williams is one of my favorites because of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Halloween II, and Hatchet III so it was funny to see her with gigantic body parts so she looked obese. Greta's death in ANOES 5 really disturbed me as a kid and was one of the only movie scenes that scared me but I don't find it so bad now.

It made sense though, Leprechaun seems to ironically torture and kill the characters who wronged him. Like Mitch who was *lusting* he sent in some sexbot to electrocute the guy.. Loretta's sin was Pride so she got hers. The punishment fits the crime.
