Most Depressing Movie Ever . . .

I thought "The Fan" with DeNiro and Snipes was the most depressing movie I ever saw . . . until I saw "Leaving Las Vegas". I'm not saying every movie has to have a happy ending, but these two were real downers.

Watching an alcoholic spiral into oblivion is inherently depressing. Also it is very real. This happens everyday and many normal people don't realize how the grip of alcoholism afflicts millions of people. I would agree it is depressing.

The Fan????? WTF?

I'll tell you what the great Roger Ebert once said about "depressing" movies:

"No great film is depressing. All bad ones are."

Couldn't have put it any better.

"Bltch, what you DON'T know about me -- I can just about squeeze into the Grand xxxxing Canyon!"
