If you want to promote sobriety...here's your platform

I'm not promising that a person is going to immediately become perfect and never have drink again because obviously alcoholism is a disease...but if you know someone who might be an alcoholic and you want to give them a little motivation to become sober...pop this baby in and give it a play. Some movies that display alcoholics glamorize it at least a little, but I can safely say that there is absolutely no glamorization in this movie. It is depressing as hell. Just thinking about this movie makes me never want to drink alcohol ever again and I'm not even an alcoholic. I've only seen this movie once in my life and I don't think I will ever see it again because one viewing made a lasting impression.

When I was at my rock bottom stage. I looked exactly as pale as Nick Cage in this movie. I was shaking like a leaf 24/7 from alcohol and xanax withdrawal. Had I watched this, it would have had no impact on me whatsoever. You have to go through what you go through to get where you're going. A year and a half sober this movie gives me chills.
