Looking to purchase The Last Bullet, any info would be appreciated. I have found it in Australian format, but need it to be in DVD or VHS for American machines.

Thanks!

Is or will this be released in Australia on DVD?

reply

Already released in Australia, I got a PAL copy and glad I found it. A great movie with the best authentic uniforms and weapons I have ever seen in a war movie. Made the whole movie more realistic.

As of 6/2006 I am still unable to find a copy of this as either a DVD or VHS here in the USA (for region 1 dvd players). If anyone knows where to buy a cpy that will play here (USA) please reply!!!

It`s being released in the U.K. R2 30/10/06 at what seems a ridiculously cheap price of £2.99-play.com-not sure of any other regions though.

I really wasn`t expecting too much but pleasantly surprised as to the films` quality.Clearly made on a shoe-string budget but it works in it`s depiction of a raw recruit(well played by Jason Donovan)trying to come to terms with his surroundings and a solitary Japanese soldier who refuses to surrender.Tension abounds as both men scope each other through rifles, catching the occasional glimpse of each other and conscious that they`re both running out of ammunition.Definitely deserves more recognition and hopefully people will be intrigued with the welcome dvd release.

The uk dvd is region 0 but Pal formatted with tv aspect ratio 4/3.Picture is a bit dark at times but selling for £2.99 you can`t really complain. One slight query is that the Japanese sequences don`t have any subtitles and i`m wondering if this is an omission on the dvd?

Hello there-from Play.com or try Amazon.co.uk.I don`t know where you are in the world but it`s also been shown recently on UK film channel Movies4Men and will probably reappear in the schedules soon.

Do you mean the BBC docudrama "D-Day"-it`s out on dvd and features a pretty good reconstruction of the British para attack on the Merville battery.Or did you mean something else?

I`m scratching my head over this-post your query on the main "war board" as there`re quite a few knowledgeable people around on there.I trust you weren`t unduly awakened from your slumber by the earthquake? We had a much smaller one down in Folkestone last year.

The Khazi - It's called Overlord.

I got it on a 4-pack (they squeezed 4 movies onto 1 DVD! granted, it's in sub-VCD quality) along with OPERATION DELTA FORCE 1 and 2, and some other movie. Maybe search for those on Ebay and it'll come up?

It's an awful disc, but it's better than nothing, right? It's R2.

Anyone in the UK looking to buy this still, should check out their local Woolworths. I picked up a copy today for £1.00! Yep, a whole QUID, so even if it's completely terrible, it's still cheaper than a loaf of bread, although not quite so easy to make sandwiches with!
