Yay for poncy, awkward teens beating up trained, armed soldiers!

The absurdity of a muscularly underdeveloped mid-90's teen who is afraid of being hit by a baseball actually surviving an encounter with a trained medieval armsman is laughable.

It's cool, though, because this movie gave me a huge crush on Paloma Baeza when I was a kid. And Kate Winslet looked GOOD. Damn!

In the Land of the Blind, the One-Eyed Man is King.

What's funny is that I didn't recognize her... but that definitely explains my dislike for her role in this film. She comes off really standoffish, even though I think that was the intent... anyway. She's only in a few good roles, and they get worse with each year that passes.

<-- Enough said.

Maybe they were weakened by 21 century pathogens that didn't exist during their time like how small pox helped decimate the Native American population.

Well he took karate lessons after all.

I think anything he got away with was pushing suspension of disbelief but still was entertaining.
