The Final Scene! **SPOILER**

the flashback scene When Grover tells Jane about how he wishes they were old so he could kiss her for no reason, the scene is fantastic! but beyond that, does anyone else think her little retainer acting or whatever you would call it was perfect? (if you ever had a retainer or braces you know thats the face you make when you wear them lol) so I just loved her in the ending that much more! I just wanted to put that as a little side-note, I hope people enjoyed this movie as much as I did. I'll be watching it again I'm sure, it's so smartly written each character is relate able in my life. (age 23) peace

I watch it every couple months, of all my Criterion films this one gets the most play (along with Slacker). Its just a great movie. It makes me laugh and think at the same time. Anyone who says its silly or dumb movie just doesn't get it. Anyone and I mean anyone who has been to college and then been thrust out into the real world exhibits the same feelings in this movie. Oh, and thank God for Chet! He has the best lines... "Lewis, my friend! Did you graduate on purpose of by accident?" One of the greatest lines ever!

My favorite Chet moment was when he was reading the dictionary and laughing. "Oh, that's good..."

Yes, I fell in love with Olivia D'Abo in this movie. Just the ultimate combo of sexy + nerdy...the kind of girl you always wish you met in college. The final scene of 'wish we were an old married couple' always makes me a bit teary-eyed.
