What happened at the end there....? (spoiler)

At the end when Domon is strangling the taxi driver, he suddenly winces in pain, then is apparently killed by a wind coming through the window...? As if it was a heart attack and then the Andes wind that the main characters had spoke of earlier? Is that the case?

I watched this movie on a very muddy youtube stream so if something more intricate was going on maybe I just missed it.
