I watched this film earlier today and found it very interesting. good twists and kept up the energy well.
The bit that disturbed and yet confused me was the part when the killer said he was castrated and got his captive ( cant remb her name ) to feel his crotch, where he said there wasnt anythin/he hadnt been castrated the night she had him held in prison over night..if this was the case how could he rape the girl? surely its all linked...and he wouldnt be able to maintain an erection? its really odd...i know there is the fact there was no semen found at the scene and he definately wouldnt be able to produce semen but surely his abiity to have sex would be effected completely? The reason i ask more is after seeing hard candy and it has simular part in it..nasty subject...was it to keep it all with an open ending and questions at the finish??

I know it's hard to believe but you don't need an erection for sexual intercourse. It helps though if you want it to feel good. Once when I was in my twenties and was constantly aroused I decided to have a marathon *beep* session with my girlfriend. We did it about thirty times in the same day. There was no semen found, so she could have been raped by an inanimate object.

You can still maintain an erection and even orgasm after castration; the orgasmic sensation comes from the prostate, which in turn produces semen. The testicles are what produces sperm.

And if I recall correctly, they DID find semen on the girl, but dismissed matching the blood type once Bobby Earle gave his confession.

Wrong. No semen. They dismissed matching the blood type from bite marks.

They made a big deal about her being penetrated but no semen found. It’s at least consistent with the idea Earl was the killer.
