What about his grandmother?

I was really surprised by the twist at the end of the movie, but what I kinda missed in this was the reaction of Bobby Earl's grandmother, who supported him. Did she know? Or was she betrayed by her grandson just like everyone else?

What do you think?

Psychopaths are notoriously good at fooling people. I met someone who worked on a suicide prevention hotline at a desk seated directly next to Ted Bundy. She sat next to him for several weeks and had absolutely no idea he was a serial killer.

Usually it's bleeding-heart Liberals that they're great at fooling.

reply

Actually, it isn't. Liberals are usually the ones who look at FACTS. It is the ones who refuse to look at just the facts and evidence who are most easily duped. Look at Trump's followers. Totally duped by the con artist. Because they are not looking at what he DOES and HAS DONE, and the sum total of his life. They are just listening and blindly believing and following. Like people in a cult.

reply

Wrong. Liberals use emotion, conservatives are more logic driven.

Americans deserve each other. Pack of f*cking lunatics.

What happened to the OP's original question? Forget politics, I wanted to see the grandmother's reaction. I'm sure she believed in her grandson. I did!

I kept thinking that he was way too handsome and charming to be a killer. Of course, psychos don't LOOK like psychos. That's how they navigate through the world. Ted Bundy was considered handsome and charming too.

Actually, I don't think Bobby Earl was anywhere near the level of Bundy. I think he went bad after what they did to him when he took the white girl for a ride. It messed up his mind.
