Van Pelt scared the hell out of me as a kid

I think this is one of the #1 reasons the remake will likely suck or lack the ball$ of the original Jumanji.

Van Pelt exists in the movie to hunt down Robin Williams. He has a gun and is literally following him trying to shoot him for the duration of the film. It was so effing scary when I was a kid of about eight yrs old when I saw this.

There will be no Van Pelt in the new version. Hollywood won't let a character with a gun basically stalk the protagonist given how things have changed. Sigh.
