Effects are awesome

From the insane work on the ABC robot and Mean by Chris Cunningham to Mega-City One, it's one of the best overall examples of practical and CGI working together (unlikely to happen again). The flying battle looks a bit dated but other than that, wicked stuff.

Watched this last night on Netflix. Usually that HD streaming is the death knell for 90s effects, knocking down the way you remembered it.

I last saw the whole movie in theatres back in '95. I must say the visuals are possibly better than I remembered. Excellent use of miniatures, animatronics, composite, and restrained CGI. A shame other elements of the film aren't better.

That robot was pretty cool. Shame you don't see that much anymore.

The special effects were obviously good back in the 90's, but after just watching it on my 65' 4K TV, you can see how dated it now really is. It was still fun to watch though.

they are. i have a feeling the fx team of attack if the clones watched this move. cloning designs and flying car stuff had to be an inspiration.
