does anyone know of similar movies, i dont care if they're cheesy. just movies that are like this... adventurous, funny, you know just Josh Kirby-ish

You might like "Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings" or "The Adventures of Young Van Helsing." I must warn you, though--they are both VERY cheesy and have bad acting, etc. But I could watch them over and over because I like so-bad-they're-really-good movies. To me, that's more enjoyable than watching something that's just plain bad or even something that's just decent.

I suggest the last four episodes of "Angel" season two which created a mini-arc. Basically, the "Angel" cast go to an alternate dimension/Medieval ages and have adventures very much in the Josh Kirby style. If you loved the "Planet of the Dino Knights" storyline of Josh Kirby, I promise you'll love those episodes of "Angel". Such great fun.
I actually burned a copy of those four episodes for a friend of mine who's also a Josh Kirby fan.
