They did their homework(Spoilers)

I remember reading that since Potiphar had Joseph put i jail, instead of having him executed, is a sign, that odds are, Potiphar knew Joseph was innocent, because I read in most cultures, something like this was punishable by death. So, obviously whoever wrote this screenplay did their homework. Potiphar's wife, was obviously a VERY evil woman.
