This movie sucked

The supporting cast was really great but the stars fall so flat that it's hard to watch. Steven Weber sucks all the energy out of momentum talking to the camera. His love interest is hot as hell, but gets sucked down by Weber's retched performance. The real shame is the part was written well, but SW simply does not have the chops for this role. It would have been better off to cast a no name actor.

Damn, I just lost the game.

I totally agree with OP.

OK OK--Weber sucker and it was nowhere as good as the play...but there ARE worse gay movies out there. There are a few good things in this movie--Patrick Stewart was perfect playing an older gay man, the dance between the cowboys and Indians was pretty homoerotic (and funny), Michael T. Weiss was REAL hot and the kissing between Weber and Weiss looked realistic (most str8 actors pull back but these two guys really got into it). So no--it's not perfect but it's better than crap like "Brokeback Mountain".

What do you expect for a limited release indie type movie?
Weber was no pro but so what . The movie itself is funny and touching .
He didn't ruin as much as you say .

I actually thought Steven Weber was one of the better actors in this! His love interest (Steven) had the acting chops of a porn performer. Terribly wooden and 2-dimensional, bordering on cringe.
