He was saying that it was traumatic for him. He knew he was gay at that age, but he was 'dared' to do it with another boy. "I dare you to take all your clothes off, even your underpants. I dare you to kiss me on the mouth." Although someone's first time is supposed to be a cherished memory, because he was being dared to do it (and people are usually dared to do 'bad' things) it was a traumatic memory.
