Louis XVI was a man in his thirties, yet Michael Lonsdale was 64 here.
To represent Louis le seizième as such an old man is just unforgivable. How could this pass casting? He didn't have a particularly interesting script so they could have easily found someone to play this role, though I have to say, he handled the hat bowing routine in a very amusing comic manner. Another Louis miscast, though of a different nature was Jason Schwartzman in the Sofia Coppola film. His selection should have never passed muster.
