45 minutes into this thing and I'm starting to amuse myself by wondering what they could have done to make it even more boring. How could they possibly make Thomas Jefferson's life seem boring? He started a country.
Jefferson did not "start" any country. He was simply one of the figures in the history of colonial intrusion into the Americas by Anglos of European origin. Indigenous civilizations had been in the Americas for millennia before the Jeffersonian era.

Not only did Jefferson NOT start a country, but the U.S. developing as one country took quite a long time and a lot of people were not in favor of it. The European invaders had no intention of starting a country. They came here to escape various forms of oppression in Europe, seeking land, ejected from prisons and poorhouses, and as indentured servants. What is truly ironic, and would be laughable if not so pathetic, is that they turned around and created another system of rich robbing and abusing the poor; caste and class, etc.--after they got away from their own oppression they started inflicting it on others while wrapped in the myth of "free" America, equality, and all the other BS that's been spouted for 3-400 years. The same few families have OWNED this country since the late 1700's.

He wrote the Declaration of Independence, which was the blueprint for the United States. It was his vision. For all intents and purposes, he made this country.
Typical eurotrash drivel. This is a discussion board for a terribly boring movie, not the ravings of one with an inferiority complex. Please keep things in order.
Oh, please. Take your Anglo bashing to some place it may be appreciated; it doesn't belong on an IMDB message board. It really doesn't belong anywhere, but least of all here. Gawd, Social Justice Warriors are tedious.
