Aces: Iron Eagle III

We all know this movie takes place after the events of Iron Eagle 1 and 2, since they mention Doug's father's rescue from Iron Eagle and Operation Dark Star, the mission to prevent a nuclear attack on the United States and the Soviet Union, from Iron Eagle II. But this movie doesn't mention the events of Aces: Iron Eagle III, not that I know of. But is that movie still part of the series?
