If you watch closely in that documentary, you will see one of the child victims is recanting that he was victimized, but instead says that before therapy he had no memory of being abused. But after therapy, he had the memory of it in his head. *beep* He's now backed in a corner and instead of laying blame at the Friedman's, he's shifting it to his therapist. He's lying out his ass because he's been backed into a corner and he's feeling the heat of possible perjury. But I do have to say this, coaching kids into saying something that didn't happen is manipulative. Just as a sex offender manipulates, and just as parents themselves manipulate, it is wrong. Those kids now have been manipulated one way or the other to having to live the rest of their lives assocaited with something that didn;t happen, especially in the McMartin case. Kee McFarlane should be incarcerated for life for her unfortunate interviewing techniques and has never paid the price. Instead, she picked up a 2 million dollar federal grant after the McMartins for their indictment in front of the grand jury after the pretrial. If you really want to know more about it, check out paul and sherly eberle's book, The Abuse of Innocence.
