Books on the McMartin Preschool Trial

For a good read and in detail "The Abuse of Innocence" by Paul Eberle and Shirley Eberle
A terrific book on what happened nation wide when the case broke and its consequences is "We Believe the Children" by Richard Beck

Why would anyone wish to read a book by two people with such a dubious history in publications?
The Eberles used to publish an underground magazine known as "Finger". Said magazine covered zoophilia, necrophilia and festishes focusing on excrement and urine. They also featured drawings of sexual acts involving children, which under today's laws, would be considered a form of child pornography. This was under the caption "Little Lolitas".

Seargeant Donald Smith of the LA vice squad said there was suspicion that some of the photographs in the magazine were of minors, only they couldn't prove it.
The Eberles were also called “the most prolific publishers of child pornography in the United States” by Sgt. Toby Tyler, a San Bernadino deputy sheriff who works in child pornography.

Essay's in Finger had titles such as "My First Rape", "She Was Only 13", "Sexpot at Five" and "What Happen When N****** Adopt White Children".
Another entry read:

"I'm a pedophile & I think its [sic] great a man is having sex with his daughter!...Since I didn't get Finger #3, I didn't get to see the stories & pics of family sex. Would like to see pics of nude girls making it with their daddy, but realize its too risky to print."

They also appeared as speakers for V.O.C.A.L. or Victims of Child Abuse Laws, an advocacy group for those accused of sexual abuse by their children, several of whose members were accused of precisely that.

Los Angeles attorney Sally Dichter, in a book review, argued that the
Eberles have "nothing to offer to any discipline." The book she lamented,
"is an attempt to vindicate every individual who has been convicted of child
abuse."
The Eberles, according to Dichter, believe "Every molestation case in which
there has been a conviction should be reopened and reviewed. The Eberles seem intent on convincing the
reader that child abuse never occurs."

Both of them were sleazy advocates for child abusers, from what I can see.
I wouldn't believe a word outa their mouths.

Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!
