Little Bear's prayer

Just wondering if anyone knows the prayer Little Bear was saying after he killed the deer. I'm into native american stuff...go figure

reply

I don't know the actual words, but if he was being true to most Native American culture, he was thanking the deer's spirit for allowing him to kill it in order to get food.

All I know is, it ends in: "Now we become reconciled"

"I am patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it." Edith Sitwell

Different meaning actually, it's not the same as praying at the dinner table, he thanked the deer, not a higher power. Some tribes in africa also pray for the souls of the animals they kill. They hunt with good will, not with the intention of causing harm, but so they can survive and feed their families.
