I didn't like him either. He didn't listen, didn't give a damn about other people's wishes (he brought Boone to life when Omri didn't want him to) and he almost got Omri in trouble at school. The only redeeming part he had was proving Omri's innocence when his brother Adiel thought Omri had stolen his gym shorts. And I think that was just in the novel.

I hated that little ass. And I hated Omri even more for being such a pushover and dealing with it. He catered to everything Patrick did. He let him keep Boon, and then for some godforsaken reason he let Patrick carry the fannypack with Boon AND Little Bear in it at school. And he remained his friend after not only disobeying him and making Boon real, but almost getting them in a *beep* load of trouble at school. And where the hell is Omri's million dollars? Burn in hell, Patrick.
