if anybody has scene Show me love, can you tell me if these two movies are similar. I enjoyed show me love and i was wondering if these two movies were basically the same. anyhow, if anyone has a link to view the trailer, if they can please post it, thanks.
shareYes. The two movies are very similar. *beep* Amal (or Show Me Love as it is called here in America) is basically the same. The final door opening as the couple comes out is almost identical. If you've seen show me love, you are watching an identical story with similar plot and reasonably similar characters.
That said, Show Me Love was much better in my opinion than Incredibly True Adventure... . Like other well known swedish movies I have seen (My Life as a Dog come to mind), Show Me Love is a film of subtleness with a reasonable simple storyline and detailed characters. This film has a more complex (although ultimately similar) plot and far weaker characters. Also, the script and acting seemed particularly weak to me, while I enjoyed both in the Swedish film.
It can't hurt to see both movies, but I think you'll find Show Me Love to be the superior of the two.
I've seen both films and while they are both coming of age & coming out stories, they are not the same in any other way. For starters, one is an American film and one is not. That in itself makes them worlds apart. The American film is also a comedy and the Swedish film is not. I would recommend that you see them both and decide for yourself which is "better" if that is what you need to know. Both are enjoyable, so why choose?
shareWell..I've also seen them both and I have to say I liked Two girls in love more..I don't know, maybe Swedish movies just ain't my thing. As for the similarities, I think there's one big difference, neither of the girls in the American movie made fun of the other..or treated her bad in front of her friends and stuff like that(which is normal teen stupidity, but still..it just isn't NICE)..Maybe that's why I don't like Show me love as much..
