im tryin identify a film for someone but havent managed it.

could someone help. i suggested this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113416/
but it isnt that apparently.

this is how he described it:
I dont remember much about this film but hopefully someone will be able to identify it.

All i remember is two girls are best of friends, very young, maybe 12 or 13 and they eventually run away together I think or they are trying to run away because one of them is moving away. Anyway they have this lesbian thing going on and one of the girls mother I think wanted them to seperate or something, or one of them was moving away. Anyway thats all I remember. i think the film was in the late 80s or early 90s.

Any suggestions?

sounds like Heavenly Creatures, but the girls were older, around 16.. and there was a murder, but that was the basis of the movie...

This was 1995 and before, 1994, there was Heavenly Creatures, released a year before The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love. That's my assumption. An early Peter Jackson, well known in the USA from the Lord of the Rings series through now, effort, with Kate Hudson in the same era as Titanic (1997) and Melanie Lynskey, now in Two and a half men.
