a lot of critiques of this film say it disparages the honor of douglas macarthur...i totally disagree with that...i'm not convinced that old doug had any honor except for himself...remember that he was removed from command and retired by the civilian authority which he usurped...

Jeez man, he won the Medal of Honor and was nominated for it on two prior occasions. He had 7 silver star medals and a bronze star with valor device. I think both the the civilian and military authorities were pretty convinced he was an honorable American.
