yeah that was the first sign of his being a control freak - slapping her like that, i would've screamed so freaking loud and woke up the whole househould - the dad being a cop would've got that scum .. but the daddy "mentally" abused the mother, w/saying horrible things to her, putting her down in public, etc..but I do think since it was his daughter he would've beat the crap out him.. i also didn't like how the father handled that domestic abuse call, even the female cop was disgusted; he talked that vunerable woman out of pressing charges against her husband ONLY bc it was his buddy.. BS i would've pressed charges...
