There's also a three-degrees of seperation.
Note: This is all a possible rumor and may not be correct. But this is what I heard.
Writer/Director Donald Cammell wrote a script that told the story of a prostitute and a businessman in high finances (the title was "3,000", alluding to an amount of money featured in the script), but it didn't get anywhere. It was not a very light hearted story. From what was reported, his script was purchased and completely rewritten into what became "Pretty Woman" (using only the same concept). Ironically, in Mr. Cammell's last movie "Wild Side", there is a line from Christoper Walken's character "What is that story about the hooker and the businessman in high finances? That's gonna be our story." (this could be alluding to Cammell's script or to "Pretty Woman". The three degrees is this: J.F. Lawton wrote "Pretty Woman", wrote/directed "The Hunted", that had Joan Chen, who also worked in "Wild Side" and there is the possible "Pretty Woman" reference in it (and ironically enough deals with a prositute and a businessman in high finances).
Whew!
But this one's eatting my popcorn!
