The ending- really???

Okay, they had to put a sword back in Lambert's hands. Fine, whatever. But of all the possible endings, that was the one that they went with??? Weak, man, totally weak.

You'd think that after those Highlander movies, he'd be better with one.

The ending was a bit weak, however from what I've read about historic sword duels, if opponent 'A' were to get a crippling leg injury than the fight would greatly favour the other opponent 'B'.

Seems a bit rich that Lambert used a sword to finish off the mater ninja, however in the circumstances i could see Lambert using a pike/spear etc to get the same outcome.

All in all, the ending does makes sense to close the stories arc from beginning to end.

It helps that said ninja had already lost the use of his favored arm, AND suffered a head blow. Just one of those would be enough to compromise a fight. That's one of the things I loved about the film. The fights were realistic, and neither the ninja, or samurai were superhuman.
