I thought it was weird that Tommy saw Claudia naked..and then the scene where she asks him to tell everyone what her problem was at dinner..I didn't get why she asked him that when he had told her he didn't check his msgs..and then she shimmys over and sits in his lap with her on his chest smoking a cigarette..weird.
and the scene where she says "fragile" it almost looks like they are lovers looking into each others eyes
um.. close sibling relationships are.... close...?
just try and picture them as kids.. annoying brother breaking into the bathroom to take an embarrassing picture of his sister naked... not too crazy.. pretty normal actually.
just a strange and delightful family.
and he said at one point that he had checked his messages.. so he did it after he said he hadnt... or he was lying when he said he hadn't.

She has an adult body now, it's not little Tommy pulling the curtain on his 7 yr old sister anymore.
The difference is he wasn't doing it for the sexual thrill of seeing his sister naked. He was doing it to get her back up.
People who were children together (especially if they have a close relationship) tend to always act like children to some extent when they're together no matter how old they get.
Besides, Tommy is gay so even if he were okay with incest, Claudia isn't exactly his type.
But some of the drops sparkle...some of them DO sparkle.
I thought the Tommy Claudia relationship came across as creepy myself. When they talked to each other they got too close, like they were about to kiss. Director should have controlled this better. Her jumping in his lap after he revealed all her secrets to the family was creepy too.
So- she asks Leo if he saw a picture of her naked and if that was why he came to their family get together and that is supposed to make us want to see romance blossom between them? That was creepy to me too. Kind of like discovering the neighbor has been peeking in your bathroom window to see you come out of the shower or something.
That was one of the most dynamic scenes of the movie because it shows truly how some family holidays are. How siblings act and interact with each other and how they will out and at times try not to out information that could be a possible disappointment or make them look bad to their parents or your relatives. In this case, both Tommy and Claudia's dirt was let out, which would be appalling to others but liberating to them. For Claudia, it was even more liberating because she didnt have to tell all her business. She let Tommy do it, especially since he knew. Their revelations made them both in good company. I think the the director did a good job of visually portraying Claudia and Tommy closeness, even if it was a little creepy. However some sibling relationship and interaction can be just like that though.
