dysfunctional holidays.

I loved the scene as they are leaving the airport and the adult children all have the same look on their face. my family has had our fair share of these crazy types of holidays. Wouldn't change them for anything.

I know what you mean. I can relate to this movie on so many levels. Coming home for Thanksgiving was always a bit of an ordeal. As Claudia says, "Who are these people? They look familiar...."

I'm soon to be 60 now and the folks are long gone.... the siblings scattered or gone.....

Maybe time and distance helps but I do miss the crazy times and the people. 

My family was more dysfunctional than this and I DO NOT miss those holidays. My parents are gone and I do miss them but I haven't spoken to my brother in years.

Thankfully my family is not as dysfunctional as this family was. But, the holidays are still somewhat stressful. But, all in all, my family is most important to me in spite of the negative side.
