It's hillarious, baby!
The second I saw the trailer for this movie at videodetective.com, I was a little skeptical. The reason I saw it was because I'm a fan of Tia Carrere and Thomas Ian Griffith (especially after seeing him in Karate Kid 3 and Excessive Force).
Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed when the action began. The humour in this movie is terrific, thanks mostly in part to Griffith who plays wild-eyed, lone wolf DEA Agent Parrish. Carrere mixed beauty with bullets in her portrayal of Diane Norwood, an unmarried F.B.I. agent who's tired of men slapping her on the rear and calling her sugar butt. All she wants is a little respect and her go-it-alone attitude definitely speaks for itself. And finally, Donald Sutherland definitely proves he's a force to be reckoned with as Garrett Lawton, a witty freelance killer who's seen the light and wants to be one of the good guys (but only after he's been betrayed).
Explosions, gun fights, car chases and lots of terrific one-liners keep this movie going on and on and even though it was on a low-budget, the director and producers definitely knew what they were dong.
Watch this film but only if you're a fan of someone in the cast. If you're not, you may be disappointed.
